                      Ecology  has  been  under  serious  threats  from different  areas  in all  parts  of  the  world  and  due to  development  and  infrastructure  development  lots  of  damage  has  already  been  done  to it. But people generally  are  also protesting against this. Also, at a larger level many environmental non-governmental organizations have taken up important  environmental issues like pollution, climate change, the hole  in the ozone layer, bio-diversity, animal rights and wildlife and biosphere conservation. Various international agencies like the United Nations, the United Nations Conference on Environment and Development and the  United Nations Development Programme have  from time to time organized several conventions and  conferences  in order  to  deliberate upon environmental issues  and generate awareness amongst both the people as well as national governments.
